CEO Asia Magazine

I'm thrilled to have recently done my first editorial assignment Vietnam for CEO Asia Magazine. The first shoot is due for publication in the June issue of the magazine and I am looking forward to more to come :)

Studio Time

I've been spending a bit more time in the studio of late having found a great studio space with the added bonus of a super cool rooftop to shoot on as well. One of the many benefits of studio shooting is air-conditioning, especially in Saigon at this time of year. Here are a few shots of a lovely Vietnamese model, Nhi, from a recent shoot.

The great Tet migration.

I have just spent a week in Central Vietnam during the great annual Tet migration. This was my second Tet at this location and I once again visited the local market, which is one of the friendliest that I have encountered in Vietnam. As the only foreigner in a town of 200,000 people, where the market is the focal point (no pun intended) of activity, particularly in the lead up to Tet, I once again discovered how Hollywood celebrities must feel. I was mobbed almost everywhere I went and appeared in many group photos with the local people. I had shot the market pretty extensively last year so on my stroll through this year I concentrated on trying to capture individuals and groups of people in thoughtful or interesting situations. A few images are below. Chuc Mung Nam Moi, Happy New Year 2017, the Year of the Rooster.

2017, bring it on!

I'm thrilled to have two new book projects in the works for 2017, on day one of the new year. Looking forward to a busy and productive year of photography, fun and adventure. WATCH THIS SPACE!

It's a New Year, lets GO!

Just finished updating my website for 2017 with new galleries for my personal project on dance and movement which will be ongoing throughout 2017. Also new is a gallery with examples of my recent headshot and portrait work for clients.

I have updated my rates rates for headshot and portrait sessions together with an updated FAQ section with helpful tips for preparing for your session. another new section is Tours, Tuition and "Fixing" for visiting photographers in need of some help. While not my primary focus I had increasing requests for this type of thing in the past year.

I have tried to keep the update like my photography, clean, simple and authentic. If there is anything that I have not covered please feel free to drop me an email or give me a call.

New Year, new galleries.

I've just added two new galleries to my website for the new year.

Dance is a gallery that will be added to during the year which is part of an ongoing personal project on dance and movement that will feature lit, on location images of dancers in every day situations. Watch this space for some cool pictures as the year progresses.

Head Shots is a gallery that will feature my headshot and portrait work. My head shot and portrait sessions are photographed either in studio or on location, depending on the clients preference, using Profoto B1 monolights and light modifiers. To book a head shot or portrait session please email me at neil@neilfeatherstonephoto.com

I'm looking forward to a busy and fun year of photography IN 2017! #aintlifegrand
